Everything You Need to Know About Cat Care with Highworth Pet Care
How long are your Cat Visits?
I offer 15-minute pop-ins or 30-minute visits to meet all your needs.
How many visits a day does my cat need?
I recommend 2 visits per day so that any health problems or injuries can be picked up at earliest opportunity and to ensure your cat is having the best experience..
Some of my clients choose 3 visits a day and I’m very happy to offer that to new clients if this best meets their needs.
Will my cat get lots of attention and interaction?
Absolutely! Interaction is always tailored to your individual cat’s needs. Friendly outgoing cats may enjoy playtime and affection whilst shy cats may need space and be monitored quietly to avoid undue stress.
The great thing about in-home cat care is that your cat will become used to 1 carer and form a lasting relationship. They often move from the shy end of the scale to friendly and blossom.

How do you handle emergencies?
If your Cat becomes unwell, I will call you immediately. If you are unavailable, I will call your specified emergency contact. If urgent care is required, I will take your cat to your designated Vet directly for assessment and treatment if required.
Can you give medication?
Yes, I can administer most medications, including tablets, liquids and topical treatments, provided clear instructions are provided in advance.
What about if my cat is aggressive?
Safety and minimising risk are key here. Please be honest with me, and we can formulate a plan that focuses on meeting their feeding and cleaning needs without forced handling and raising your cat’s anxiety levels.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Booking early is recommended, especially during busy holiday periods. I will always try to accommodate last-minute bookings, depending on the schedule.
Can you help with small household tasks?
I include free security services for all of my clients and attend to mail, adjust lights and blinds, put rubbish and recycling in & out to make your house appear occupied in your absence.
I’m also very happy to water any plants, feed birds, hedgehogs and keep bird baths clean and refreshed.
What are your rates?
Prices vary depending on the length of the visit, the number of cats and any additional needs. A clear quote will always be provided before booking
